Daily Itinerary:

Day 1 - Friday, 9/3/2021 - Fly to Chicago
Arrive in Chicago, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your downtown hotel. Tonight, enjoy our Get Acquainted Dinner. - Dinner
Day 2 - Saturday, 9/4/2021 - City Tour / Sky Deck Tower
Join our local guide for a tour of the Windy City.  Learn about the Great Fire of 1871, the World’s Fair of 1893, Prohibition gangsters, and such famous residents as George Pullman, Oscar Mayer, Sears & Roebuck, Carl Sandburg, and Louis Sullivan. See the Loop, the “L” trains, Watertower, Magnificent Mile, and more. Later, ascend up 1,450 feet to the top of the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower, the 2nd tallest tower in North America. - Breakfast
Day 3 - Sunday, 9/5/2021 - Gangster Tour / Oak Park / South Shore
Embark on our “Untouchables” tour, the story of Chicago’s notorious past. Learn about the “gangster” era of the 1930’s when Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelly, and John Dillinger ruled the streets of Chicago. After an included lunch, we motor west to the lovely suburb of Oak Park, famous for architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Tour the Wright Studio, where the architect lived and worked from 1889-1909. Next, visit the South Shore and drive past Rockefeller’s University of Chicago and the Museum of Science in Jackson Park, the only building left from the great 1893 World’s Fair. - Breakfast - Lunch
Day 4 - Monday, 9/6/2021 - Racine, Wisconsin
Enjoy a day trip north to Racine, “The Belle City of the Lakes.” This factory town is home to giant SC Johnson Wax, famous for such products as Pledge, Windex, Glade, Off, Raid, etc. See two of Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest designs, as we tour both the administration building & research tower, plus the Johnson family mansion named Wingspread. At 14,000 square feet, this home is the largest of Wright’s “Prairie homes” ever built. Return to your hotel prior to an included Italian dinner at a local restaurant. - Breakfast - Dinner
Day 5 - Tuesday, 9/7/2021 - Free Day
Today is a free day on your own to explore. You may shop on Michigan Ave, visit the Field Museum of Natural History, the Adler Planetarium, or Shedd Aquarium. Maybe take a lake cruise, explore Navy Pier, or ascend the 1000’ high John Hancock Observatory. Your Tour Manager will be happy to help make arrangements for you. - Breakfast
Day 6 - Wednesday, 9/8/2021 - Wrigley Field / River Cruise / Art Institute
This morning, motor north along Lakeshore Drive, past Lincoln Park, to famous Wrigley Field, built in 1914 and home of the Chicago Cubs. Then, enjoy a narrated Architectural Cruise of the Chicago River. Learn about such landmarks as the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, and Merchandise Mart. This afternoon, visit the Art Institute of Chicago, one of the best art museums in the world. Marvel at the Impressionist Gallery, the Harding Collection of Arms & Armor, and the Thorne Collection of miniature famous rooms. Tonight, reminisce during your Farewell Dinner at a fine local restaurant. - Breakfast - Dinner
Day 7 - Thursday, 9/9/2021 - Cantigny Park / Fly Home
This morning, tour Cantigny Park, former 500 acre estate of Col. Robert McCormick, editor of the Chicago Tribune. Tour his elegant mansion, walk the 10 acre garden, or visit the 1st Infantry Division who saw action in two world wars.  Then, transfer to the airport for your return flight home. - Breakfast
