Daily Itinerary:

Day 1 Saturday, 8/10/2024 - Fly to Halifax, Nova Scotia
Today board your flight bound for Canada’s Atlantic Coast.  Upon a late afternoon or evening arrival in Halifax transfer to your hotel. Halifax is the largest urban area in Atlantic Canada, and is the capital of the province of Nova Scotia.
Day 2 Sunday, 8/11/2024 - Cape Breton Island
This morning travel to Cape Breton Island.  Enjoy a scenic drive around Bras D’or Lake to the resort town of Baddeck. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Museum to view his artifacts, inventions, and personal mementos. Later, arrive in Baddeck, a quaint community with a bustling village. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner featuring some local fare.
Day 3 Monday, 8/12/2024 - Cabot Trail
Enjoy a journey along the famous Cabot Trail explored by Englishman John Cabot in the late 15th c., and one of the most spectacular highways in North America. Stop in the seafaring town of Margaree Harbor and visit the scenic city of Cheticamp, known for its hook rugs. Follow the trail to Cape Breton Highlands National Park to see deep-walled canyons, sandy beaches, and majestic cliffs. Return for an evening at leisure.
Day 4 Tuesday, 8/13/2024 - To Prince Edward Island
Board a ferry and travel to Prince Edward Island (PEI). Enroute cross the Northumberland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia and New Brunswick from Prince Edward Island.  This area features some of the warmest waters of the North Atlantic. Later arrive for a two-night stay in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island’s capital city with small town charm and narrow streets lined with quaint homes.
Day 5 Wednesday, 8/14/2024 - Prince Edward Island
Today enjoy a Prince Edward Island Tour. Visit the College of Piping to learn about traditional Celtic music.  Later travel through Prince Edward Island National Park with its varied landscapes and wildlife along the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Visit Cavendish to tour the Green Gables Farmhouse & Museum, the setting of the novel Anne of Green Gables. Tonight enjoy an included Lobster Dinner.
Day 6 Thursday, 8/15/2024 - Bay of Fundy / To Moncton
Today’s scenic drive begins as you depart Prince Edward Island and cross the Confederation Bridge into New Brunswick. The scenery unfolds as you coach to the Bay of Fundy, featuring the highest tides in the world. Stop to discover iconic Hopewell Rocks; the flowerpot shaped rocks are 4-stories high at low tide & appear as tiny islands at high tide. Later arrive in nearby Moncton.
Day 7 Friday, 8/16/2024 - Lunenburg / To Halifax
Today’s scenic drive begins as you return to Nova Scotia to visit the seafaring town of Lunenburg. Enjoy its waterfront with crayon colored houses on picturesque narrow streets and captivating architecture. Meet your local guide for Walking Tour featuring Old Town, a UNESCO world heritage site. Later arrive in Halifax, an important seaport with one of the world’s largest natural harbors.
Day 8 Saturday, 8/17/2024 - Halifax
Today enjoy a Halifax City Tour featuring Bedford Basin, the Public Gardens, St. Mary’s University, Point Pleasant Park, and the Citadel, a large star-shaped masonry fort built to protect the city.  This afternoon visit picturesque Peggy’s Cove famous for its rocky shore and lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Later enjoy a bit of leisure time in Halifax before joining your Tour Manager and fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner.
Day 9 Sunday, 8/18/2024 - Fly Home
Transfer to the Halifax airport for the flight home.
