Daily Itinerary:

Day 1	Sunday, 10/2/2022 - This new Rocky Mountaineer Train experience starts outside Moab and journeys east to Denver with the night spent at a hotel in the resort city of Glenwood Springs, CO. Your SilverLeaf service level has spacious, reclining seats, oversized glass-domed windows for panoramic views, and delicious meals & beverages brought to your seat by friendly hosts. The route is filled with highlights best seen by train including Ruby Canyon, Mount Logan, and crossing the Continental Divide. Arrive Grand Junction, CO Arrive in Grand Junction (altitude 4,593’), meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your traveling companions.

Day 2	Monday, 10/3/2022 - To Moab / Wine Tasting Depart for Moab, Utah, and start with a spectacular display of sheer cliffs and monolith rock formations at the Colorado National Monument. Later visit Colorado’s fertile and burgeoning wine country for a Wine Tasting Experience at a local winery. Then travel on Scenic Byway 128, a spectacular route along the Colorado River providing breathtaking views of the iconic red rock spires of the Fisher Towers set against the often snow-covered peaks of the La Sal Mountains. Later arrive in scenic Moab (altitude 4,026’) to check into your hotel and unpack for a three-night stay.

Day 3	Tuesday, 10/4/2022 - Arches National Park Tour Arches National Park, featuring the largest concentration of natural stone arches in the world with over 2,000 arches. Also see hundreds of other impressive red rock formations and canyons, and learn about the Native Americans who have lived in this region for thousands of years. The late afternoon and evening are free to relax and explore Moab on your own.

Day 4	Wednesday, 10/5/2022 - Monument Valley Enter the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal area offering vistas of stunning rock formations. Enjoy an included lunch at Goulding’s Lodge and visit Goulding’s Museum & Trading Post to see a collection of Native American artifacts and movie memorabilia from some of John Wayne’s Western movies filmed in the area. Enjoy a Monument Valley Scenic Drive Tour with a Navajo guide in a 4-wheel vehicle. Explore the area’s oddly shaped monoliths, buttes and mesas of red sandstone. See why this area was the setting for many memorable films. Return early evening to Moab.

Day 5	Thursday, 10/6/2022 - Canyonlands / Dead Horse Point / Rocky Mountaineer Train Today visit Canyonlands National Park featuring deeply eroded canyons interspersed with sheer-sided mesas and a variety of spires, arches and unusual rock formations. Stop at Dead Horse Point State Park, offering breathtaking views of canyon country and the snaking Colorado River. This afternoon board the newest Rocky Mountaineer Train experience and travel east from Moab to Denver over 2 days in the SilverLeaf service level. See red rock formations, the cliffs of Ruby Canyon and stunning mountain scenery. Dinner is onboard before you arrive in the resort town of Glenwood Springs (altitude 5,761') for your hotel overnight.

Day 6	Friday, 10/7/2022 - Rocky Mountaineer This morning board your Rocky Mountaineer Train to continue your rail experience. Enjoy spectacular views of lakes and raging rivers in Arapahoe National Forest, and snow-capped mountains. Cross the Continental Divide and the pass through Moffatt Tunnel. Lunch is onboard and later arrive in the vibrant Mile-High City of Denver for a two-night stay (altitude 5,280’).

Day 7	Saturday, 10/8/2022 - Rocky Mountain National Park Travel north to beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park (altitude 7,860’). See soaring peaks, wild rivers, alpine lakes, and an amazing array of flora & fauna. Park wildlife includes bighorn sheep, deer, mountain lion, bobcat, black bear, elk, moose, and a variety of birds. Travel along Trail Ridge Road and stop at the Visitor’s Center. Return to Denver and enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a popular local restaurant.

Day 8	Sunday, 10/9/2022 - Fly Home Fly home from Denver with wonderful memories. *Note: This tour involves high altitude. Please check with your doctor, if you have any health conditions affected by high altitude.*
